My longest love would be horses. Since I can remember I was "horse crazy". Didn't really matter the breed, or the discipline, a horse was a horse. I started riding at 8 years old taking dressage lessons and showing. In the fall of 1999 I made my journey to Texas Tech University. After only one semester as a Tech student I decided that although I loved much about the University, it just wasn't a good fit for me. So I transferred to Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX. Little did I know just how much that decision would forever change my path. Being exposed to a whole different world horse wise was an education on it's own. I dabbled in some Western riding and Hunt Seat as well and had a blast. Showing and coaching for the Sul Ross State University IHSA team was a pleasure and a ball. West Texas holds a sacred piece of my heart and always will. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in 2004 and followed up with my Masters Degree in 2006. A personal event brought me back to Tomball (my hometown). After a few years away and a bit of life under my belt, I have grown to appreciate this town that I have seen change so much. My life was further blessed in 2008 with the birth of my first daughter Saydi. As she does everywhere now Maddie followed quickly in 2009. Parenthood has brought a new depth to my existence and broadened my horizons even more then I ever imagined. In 2012 I combined my love of art and photography and took a chance to follow my dreams. Lisa Marie Photography was born and has seen lots of lessons and even greater blessings and I look forward to what each new year brings.
